Re: Error running hadoop command

Hi fly3q,
Sounds like possibly a clean up problem, so let me ask a few questions:

1. Are you using Cloudera Manager and parcels?

I checked the parcel and it looks fine. So, a command like
/opt/cloudera/parcels/CDH/bin/hadoop version would work fine.

2. CM does provide alternatives to that file in /usr/bin so /usr/bin/hadoop
should point to /opt/cloudera/parcels/CDH/bin/hadoop via alternatives but
it almost sounds like you have a copy of that file in /usr/bin/hadoop
instead of a symlink. Any chance you performed a manual copy?

Can you please share more info regarding the above?

Thanks!

Re: Error running hadoop command

thanks for your quickly reply.

Yes,I am using Cloudera Manager and parcels

I deployed 5 nodes. 2 of the 5 works fine. but the other 3 can't work(h00003 h00004 h00005).

cdh-nodes.png

In the h00001, I use which command to find hadoop. it provide alternatives to the correct file.

but in the h00003, it did't provide alternatives to the right file, just put the file in the /usr/bin.

And I'am sure these files I had never created before or copied.
