Re: cloudera director bootstrap failed on "hostname: Unknown host"

Hey guys.  After doing some digging, it looks like you've stumbled upon a bug in Director with our proxy code.  We're working on fixing it now.  I appreciate you all coming in to report it!  For now, it seems skylark's workaround is a good way forward.

Just as an FYI: we use SSH to connect to various machines and perform system setup.  Right now our client does not support HTTP proxying.  Do your setups require this, or is SSH an exception to the HTTP proxy rule in your environments?

We only enforce http and httpd proxying... ssh does not need to be proxied (for our environment)

Hey all. I wanted to let you know, Cloudera Director 1.1.2 was released last week. Among the fixes, the proxy issue has been resolved. Feel free to check it out and let us know if that resolves your issues!
