Hi,

is there a plan to support Apache Knox and integrate it to the CDH and Cloudera Manager? If not, what is the recommended tool from Cloudera to proxy Hive, REST API and HTTP services of Hadoop components on Edge node?

Thanks

Tomas.

Hi Tomas,

No, there are no current plans to do that.

A standard firewall will give you more or less the same functionality with respect to network security. More advanced security (authorization, authentication, encryption) are provided by other components in the stack (Kerberos, Sentry, HDFS encryption, etc).

Hi, has there been any update on this? Or has Navigator taken on this role and we don't need Knox integration anymore? Thx!
