Hello I'm encoutering problem in installing resource manager into AWS.
I've Ubuntu 18 and I cant found the repository for cloudera list, I think that's why my installation does not work.
sudo vi /etc/apt/sources.list.d/cloudera.list deb [arch=amd64] http://archive.cloudera.com/cdh5/ubuntu/trusty/amd64/cdh trusty-cdh5 contrib deb-src http://archive.cloudera.com/cdh5/ubuntu/trusty/amd64/cdh trusty-cdh5 contrib sudo vi /etc/apt/preferences.d/cloudera.pref Package: * Pin: release o=Cloudera, l=Cloudera Pin-Priority: 501
Here it's the Trusty repo, Ive changed it by
deb [arch=amd64] http://archive.cloudera.com/cdh5/ubuntu/xenial/amd64/cdh xenial-cdh5 contrib deb-src http://archive.cloudera.com/cdh5/ubuntu/xenial/amd64/cdh xenial-cdh5 contrib
but even this I get the same error while trying to install Resource manager after doing sudo apt-get update.
On Master sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install hadoop-yarn-resourcemanager sudo apt-get install hadoop-hdfs-namenode sudo apt-get install hadoop-mapreduce-historyserver hadoop-yarn-proxyserver sudo apt-get install hadoop-client
the Output of my terminal is this:
Reading package lists... Done E: Invalid record in the preferences file /etc/apt/preferences.d/cloudera.pref, no Package header
What to do to solve this.
NB I'm using ubuntu 18.XX
