Can't find kafka scripts like kafka-topics

[ Edited ]

I've installed and started Hadoop 2.7.2, ZK 3.4.5, Kafka 0.8.2 and Spark 1.6.0 on AWS EC2(Ubuntu 14.04) not using CDH.

And then I've downloaded Oryx files under the '/home/kafka/oryx' directory.

However I try $ ./oryx-start.sh kafka-setup, the result is "Can't find kafka scripts like kafka-topics"

oryx.conf file has a configuration like below:

kafka-brokers = "localhost:9092"
zk-servers = "localhost:2181"
hdfs-base = "hdfs://localhost:54310"

Please let me know how can I solve this issue.

Thank you in advance

Yeah it means pretty much what it says. You didn't put Kafka scripts on
your PATH when you set it up manually. Although it is probably going to be
much easier to use CDH than roll your own env, it is entirely possible. But
you'll have to do a lot of this baseline setup yourself.

Re: Can't find kafka scripts like kafka-topics

Yeah it's not easy so far.

I added KAFKA PATH like below at the end of the .bashrc and it works!

export KAFKA_HOME=/home/kafka/kafka
export PATH=$KAFKA_HOME/bin:$PATH

Thank you for your help!
