I am trying to open the the Cloudera CapSpark Student VM for VMware. I downloaded VMware Workstation Player 14. I also downloaded the zip file containing the VM and unzipped it. I have done this multiple times on different PC's and it has been working. However on one specific computer which happens to be the computer I carry around with me I get the following error:
missing Codec or helper program, or other error. In some cases useful info found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda1, missing Codec or helper program, or other error. In some cases useful info found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
END OF ERROR MESSAGE
I took a log at the log file to see what went wrong and I see the following lines before the VM shuts down all processes:
2018-12-25T02:55:02.377-06:00| vmx| I125: GuestRpcSendTimedOut: message to toolbox-dnd timed out.

Can anyone please provide any guidance on how to resolve this issue? Thank you in advance
