Hi All. I am Bharat Kanase. I am currently working as a Project Manager with Markit. My career of 10+ years in IT, has been a blend of various domains and technologies till now but majoring in Finance.
Throughout my career, the bottom line has always remained as data. Data is a crucial part of any activity we do. Whatever we do boils done to data migrations, extractions, cleansing, making sense out of it.
Hence I have joined this CCPDS course to learn about the ever growing field of data analytics and to seek the knowledge from the best providers.

My name is Bill Graziano. I live in Charlotte, NC. My background is in development, business analysis, data analysis, IT management, and all the skills that goes along with them. As the ability for a corporate office to remote into satellite business locations, the need for a larger IT staff has significantly decreased, expecially in management. Many corporate offices are reducing satellite locations to one or more desktop support technicians for hands on support and relying on the department managers to report back on the success of failure of these technicians. I found myself looking for a new and exciting career in IT where I can use my background and the skills that I really enjoy doing. I started to notice a trend in the skills that employers were looking for. After researching them, I discovered Data Science, Big Data, and Data Visualization. I found my destination and needed a path. After researching several university data science programs, I found that the University of California, Irvine Extension offers certificate programs in Data Science, Predictive Analysis, Big Data, and Data Warehousing and Business Intellegence. I will have my certificate in Data Science (as an 'A' student) in December 2015. I will start the Predictive Analysis program in early January 2016 and have all four programs completed by the summer of 2016.

Hi,
I've been supporting/administering Hadoop at a small startup for about 1.5 years. We had our own rolled up distro of Hadoop and some other stuff. All my training has been OJT and specific to that environment. I just joined a company that's using Cloudera so I'm looking forward to getting my hands dirty with a more "normal" distribution.
I'm a level 2 support person, doing some devops, some support, documentation, etc.
Robert
