Amazon EC2 redhat Instance, DB lock files being generated

Amazon EC2 redhat Instance, DB lock files being generated

Explorer

Hi,

I have an instance on amazon ec2 for redhat 6.5, here With hostname:7180 i am trying to install CM, but facing issue

of "Allocate memory".

With research I found that it is because of __db.* files present in /var/lib/rpm path.

When i delete files manually, after every installation process, these files gets generated taking huge memory.

Can you please suggest as how can i get rid of these db lock files permanently, if not but during the installation process.

Re: Amazon EC2 redhat Instance, DB lock files being generated

Are you able to tell us what the exact error message is? When do you get this error (during installation, at first start etc). What kind of AWS machine is this running on (micro, large. etc)? How are you installing Cloudera Manager (installer.bin, yum/apt-get etc)? Please be as detailed as you can so we can help you out.
