Ambari Infra to store indexes in hdfs

Ambari Infra to store indexes in hdfs

Contributor

Hello All,

I have installed ambari infra on the cluster for setting up ranger audit - my primary use case. However, the instance writes data to local disks.

Is there a way we can set ambari infra to write to hdfs ?

As this was not working as expected, I had do a solr instance installation from ambari and having issues with namenode HA.

Any help appreciated.

Hi @Sundara Palanki

Please try the following

- Navigate to "Ambari Infra -> Configs -> Advanced infra-solr-env -> infra-solr-env template".

- Add the following line:

SOLR_OPTS="$SOLR_OPTS -Dsolr.hdfs.confdir=/etc/hadoop/conf"

- Restart Ambari-Infra.

Hello Samrat this didn't actually worked out. I have also modified the start command for ambari-infra to start it as just other solr instance with all the required parameters. Ambari-infra dies after few minutes from start.
