Ambari not started/working in AWS

Expert Contributor

Created a new cluster in AWS. When logged in Ambari was not working/started. Please refer to below steps

1. Check the ipaddress of the host where ambari is running

2. open browser ipaddress:8080

if this doesnt work

1. open /etc/hosts file(cat /etc/hosts)

2. check if you have the host mentioned where ambari is running

3. if not include the ipaddress(ifconfig) with fqdn(hostname -f)

4.save file

If created the cluster during yesterday you might have encountered the AWS outage while trying to start Ambari.

Is it starting now?
