Beeline connectivity with intermediate proxy server

Beeline connectivity with intermediate proxy server

New Contributor

hello,

Im trying to access Hiveserver2 hosted on Cloudera from a beeline client witha an intermediate proxy server.

Despite of adding a firewall update to allow tcp 10000 port on Hiveserver2 hostname Im not able to make a connection.

Do I need to add any configuration of proxy server and proxy port at client level to enable the connection.

Appreciate any help!

Thanks!

What error do you get, specifically? Is your installation secure (with Kerberos, with TLS, etc.)?

A sample HAProxy configuration to use with HS2 + Load Balancer is available at https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/latest/topics/admin_ha_hiveserver2.html, along with caveats for secured clusters.
