Hi,
Iam testing CDH 5.1.2 on Amazon EC2 Four-Node Cluster. First time I installed and CDH was working fine. Few minutes later I stopped EC2 server and restarted them. Then I login Cloudera Manager website and encountered below error. Please advise. Iam new to Hadoop. If you tell me step-by-step GUI method, I would really appreciate it.
Infact Iam using Amazon Elastic IP(permanent IPs) too.

That message means your management services are not running. This is also confirmed by the "radio button" at the bottom left right next to "Cloudera Management Services". Start that and let us know if it helped

After a few round of CM shutdown/restart followed by Amazon EC2 stop/restart, nothing worked for me. Please see the screenshots:
Individual CDH Service Restart Error :
Cluster Restart Error in CDH:
Note : If the Amazon EC2 servers are running and only restart CDH services, then everything is OK. If I restart Amazon EC2, then this problem occurs. Is there any missing link between EC2 and CDH setup, after EC2 restart? Please clarify.

Can i ask what type of instance you're running with how much disk? just about all my problems of this ilk are related to the lack of memory. i upgraded to a medium sized instance with 50 gig of disk and the problems went away..
