CDH IAAS cluster on Azure with Azure Data Lake Storage

Can CDH be installed on Azure cloud in IAAS model using Azure Data Lake as primary storage instead of HDFS? Or, do I need to install HDFS anyway and ADLS can only be used as secondary storage?

Also, if HDFS has to be setup as default FS, can I configure the datanode and workernode data dirs to be located on ADLS?
