CDSW - Wild card DNS configuration - BIG F5 VIPs

Team,

I have one master and one worker linux hosts set up currently. DNS entries for master and host set up with their respective hostname and domain name.

Format:

<hostname.domainname>

We are having F5 layer where we define VIPs for load blancing. If we have multiple masters then it will be configured at F5 layer.

VIP name:

cdsw.domainname

Now is it mandatory to have a wildcard DNS for the hosts itself or can we have it at F5 level.

I would think it should be at DNS level depending on what you set your domain as in cdsw.conf.
