Can I use Azure Data Lake Store(ADLS) as core HDFS storage instead of HDP's HDFS storage?

Is there any benefit using Azure Data Lake Store(ADLS) as core storage?

Based on what criteria should i take the decission towards storage selection among ADLS and HDP cluster's HDFS?

You can use ADLS via a connector which is to help you connect to, access, and work with data the cloud storage services. These connectors are not a replacement for HDFS and cannot be used as a replacement for HDFS defaultFS.
