If you are referring to the Supported Database for CDP Private Cloud Base (Which is the SDX for Private Cloud Experience), the list of Supported Databases for CDP Private Cloud Base, wherein the Databases for Metadata, Authorisation is maintained is shared in the Link [1].

we are looking to use Greenplum as external database. the requirement is to build or deploy DWH on this database.while the Datalake will be on CDP side.

CDW cannot use GreenPlum as a DW DB.

You could ingest data from GreenPlum into the cluster and use Hive/Impala from CDW.
