@Saifullah Sajjad

Your error says "fails because previous action finished with non-zero exit code (1)"

So can you please post the complete error stack trace?

Re: Cannot Install node using Ambari

Also,

These are the paths of repo on my server :

http://lexbz181121.cloud.dst.ibm.com/hdp/centos6/HDP-2.3.4.0/

http://lexbz1187.cloud.dst.ibm.com/hdp/centos6/HDP-UTILS-1.1.0.20/

Correct? or should I use the default with public-repo-1.hortonworks?

@Saifullah,

This error itself say's that not able to ssh to host lexbz181121.cloud.dst.ibm.com from ambari-server host. Try to passwordless ssh to lexbz181121.cloud.dst.ibm.com host from Ambari-server hosts. This could be your problem.

Re: Cannot Install node using Ambari

@Saifullah Sajjad

Additionally it does not look like an SSH issue because we see that the SSH is successful at the very beginning of your log.

Connection to lexbz181121.cloud.dst.ibm.com closed.
SSH command execution finished
host=lexbz181121.cloud.dst.ibm.com, exitcode=0

Following seems to be the issue. "/etc/yum.repos.d/ambari.repo: No such file or directory"

Did you notice?

/etc/yum.repos.d/ambari.repo: No such file or directory
scp /etc/yum.repos.d/ambari.repo
host=lexbz181121.cloud.dst.ibm.com, exitcode=1

Do you have "/etc/yum.repos.d/ambari.repo" file in this path? Please get the ambari.repo file as mentioned in link: http://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/Ambari-2.4.0.1/bk_ambari-installation/content/download_the_...

Example:

wget -nv http://public-repo-1.hortonworks.com/ambari/centos6/2.x/updates/2.4.0.1/ambari.repo -O /etc/yum.repos.d/ambari.repo
