Cluster installation using Cloudera director failed when trying to install CDH 5.8.2 and 5.9.0. With 5.5.2 installation using director is fine. Java is pre-installed in the AMI.
When I tried to create a zookeeper server using the CM ui, it throws:
Cannot find CDH's bigtop-detect-javahome

Is there any special configuration required in cloudera director to deploy 5.8.2 or 5.9.0? I am unable to install that. Please let me know.

I haven't experienced this error myself, but perusing some of our internal scripts, you may be able to get around this by setting JAVA_HOME, potentially with a Director bootstrap script. Here's an untested example:
echo "export JAVA_HOME=/your/java/location" >> /etc/profile.d/java_home_setup
That being said, this question may be better suited for the Cloudera Manager forum. However, why set up Zookeeper using CM directly when you can set it up using Director itself?
