Cause of "...libhadoop cannot be loaded..." error

Cause of "...libhadoop cannot be loaded..." error

New Contributor

After installing CDH4 from Cloudera Manager (4 nodes running Red Hat 5.10 x86_64), the Cluster startup
failed (step 4 of 22) due to HDFS service start failed. Looking at the details I see that 3 of the 4 nodes'
log files contain:
Exception in secureMain
java.lang.RuntimeException: " Although a UNIX domain socket path is configured as /var/run/hdfs-sockets/dn, we
cannot start a localDataXceiverServer because libhadoop cannot be loaded."

A bad/corrupt installation? CDH4 doesn't like RH5.10?

Any suggestions/insights greatly appreciated...Thanks!
