Can you please confirm the steps to change the log location for ambari metrics

Or the same steps for changing the ambari-server would help here?

In order to change AmbariServer log location please edit the following property defined isnide ambari log4j.properties and then restart ambari server.

# grep 'ambari.log.dir=' /etc/ambari-server/conf/log4j.properties
ambari.log.dir=${ambari.root.dir}/var/log/ambari-server

.

Similarly for Ambari Metrics Collector log location change you can do via Ambari UI:

Ambari UI --> Ambari Metrics --> Configs --> General (section)

You will find properties like : "Metrics Collector log dir" which defaults to "/var/log/ambari-metrics-collector" you can change this and save the configs then restart the AMS collector.
