Cloudbreak - GCP - What should node count on host_group_client_1 be?

Explorer

My attempt to create cluster (using the canned 'spark' blueprint) fails with ...

"Infrastructure creation failed. Reason: com.sequenceiq.cloudbreak.core.CloudbreakException: com.sequenceiq.cloudbreak.orchestrator.exception.CloudbreakOrchestratorFailedException: Invalid node count on instance group host_group_client_1; Cluster creation failed"

I had left the 'Group Size' parameter of host_group_client_1 at it's default. In fact I left everything at the default of 1 except for host_group_slave_1 which I set to 4.

What is it I'm not understanding?

Hi Thom,

The cluster creation with default parameters have to be worked. This error can happen if during the infrastructure creation some of the instances cannot be launched.

Is it always happening? Can you send me all the events from the Event History on ui and the logs?

Regards, Ferenc

Thanks Ferenc,

It always happens, although the last try, the error was "Invalid node count on instance group host_group_master_2"

Attaching zip file w output of "cbd logs" cmd and Event history

Please let me know what you see that might help

Could you please check your quotas on google cloud?

Thanks Richard. Checked quotas. Almost all are at 0%, while the largest is only 10% (Firewall rules). Any other ideas?

Hi @Thom Rogers

Try this:

Define cloudbreak version in your profile with put this line into your Profile file:

export DOCKER_TAG_CLOUDBREAK=1.1.0-rc.23

and after that type these commands:

cbd kill
cbd regenerate
cbd start

Richard
