Cloudera Live - Tableau Tutorial

Cloudera Live - Tableau Tutorial

New Contributor

HI,

I am walking through the Cloudera Live - Tableau tutorial (http://www.tableau.com/Cloudera-Live#tutorial) but I am unable to search for any of the tables (i.e. pos, items, stores).

I can connect to Cloudera just fine. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Amit

Re: Cloudera Live - Tableau Tutorial

Explorer

Hi All,

I am getting the same issue as UCI.  I am using the Go-Grid pre-configured cluster.

In the Tableau connection, I am using the IP address for my Worker Node 1.  I'm assuming this is the right one to access because the tutorial asks you to connect to '[DataNode1]'.  I can access any one of my 'data nodes' but not the 'manager node'.

However, after I select 'default' in Tableau, I can't see the 'pos' table as shown in the tutorial.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Gaj

Hi Gaj,

I am sorry about that - I did find out a few weeks ago that the script to install that dataset had gone missing from GoGrid's implementation in the last release. I'm working with them to get it put back, but in the mean time you can manually install it by running this script on your manager node:
