Downloaded VIrtual VM and when executed per instruction, getting below error on Mac (OS - macOS Mojave Ver 10.14.6)
./cloudera-manager-installer.bin: ./cloudera-manager-installer.bin: cannot execute binary file
Where did you download the "VirtualVM" from and what version was it? When you say you "executed per instruction", where are the instructions you are following?
The download seem to be moving away from earlier way of choosing virtual box/vm etc., and got these instructions at the new link - https://www.cloudera.com/downloads/cdp-data-center-trial.html
$ wget https://archive.cloudera.com/cm7/7.0.3/cloudera-manager-installer.bin
$ chmod u+x cloudera-manager-installer.bin
$ sudo ./cloudera-manager-installer.bin
The executable file at the location you mentioned above isn't intended to work on Mac OS X. Indeed, above that link, the page you cited says:
Pre-requisites: Creating a CDP cluster requires multiple, Internet-connected Linux machines. For details please see the CDP system requirements.
Installation instructions: Type the following at a Linux command prompt to begin an automated CDP installation.
…so you'll need some type of virtual machine installed, and an installation of Linux in that VM, before you can execute that command to start the installation of CDP.
Installed Ubuntu through Oracle Virtualbox and I'm getting below error while running setup, appreciate any help

You can check the Operating System requirements for CDP - Data Center Rel 7.0 and find out whether or not Ubuntu is a supported OS.
