Cluster Installation Detecting CDH versions on all hosts fails with local repository

Cluster Installation Detecting CDH versions on all hosts fails with local repository

New Contributor

Latest Cloudera (5.9) installation on CentOS 7 on local VMWare cluster

Following my configuration under the webserver root:

/cdh/5/repodata /* createrepo . */

/cdh/5/RPMS /* copied using wget https://archive.cloudera.com/cdh5/redhat/7/x86_64/cdh/cloudera-cdh5.repo */

/cdh/5/RPM-GPG-KEY-cloudera /* wget https://archive.cloudera.com/cdh5/redhat/7/x86_64/cdh/RPM-GPG-KEY-cloudera */

/cdm/5/repodata /* createrepo . */

/cdm/5/RPMS /* copied using wget http://archive.cloudera.com/cm5/redhat/7/x86_64/cm/cloudera-manager.repo */

/cdm/5/RPM-GPG-KEY-cloudera /* wget https://archive.cloudera.com/cm5/redhat/7/x86_64/cm/RPM-GPG-KEY-cloudera */

Cloudera Repo files:

/etc/yum.repos.d/cloudera-cdh5.repo

http://{web-server-address}/cdh/5/

http://{web-server-address}/cdh/RPM_GPG-KEY/cloudera

/etc/yum.repos.d/cloudera-manager.repo

http://{web-server-address}/cm/5/

http://{web-server-address}/cm/RPM-GPG-KEY-cloudera

Copied repo files to all nodes /etc/yum.repos.d

Ran yum clean all on all nodes

Checked with yum repolist on all nodes /* works ! */

./cloudera-manager-installer -skip_repo_package=1 /* custom repo */

Specified RPM packages instead of parcel installation

CDH5 custom repo: http://{web-server-address}/cdh/5/

CM custom repo: http://{web-server-address}/cm/5/

RPM-GPG-KEY: http://{web-server-address}/cm/RPM-GPG-KEY-cloudera

Installation works till: Detecting CDH versions on all hosts No CDH version detected. Check Again

Anyone an idea what i am missing ?

From the basic understanding of the error seems like you are missing the cdh repo.
It can be found here L http://archive.cloudera.com/cdh5/redhat/7/x86_64/cdh/cloudera-cdh5.repo
Hope this helps.
