Connection Refused on ListenHTTP 1.9.2

New Contributor

I have Nifi 1.9.2 setup and a ListenHTTP 1.9.2 processor setup with the default basepath.

When sending a post request from a remote server such as the following i get this response:

server:~# curl -v -X POST -H "customerHttpHeader: someHeaderValue" -d "someDataPosted" https://sub.domain.domain.domain:7001/contentListener
* About to connect() to sub.domain.domain.domain port 7001 (#0)
*   Trying 51.11.111.82...
* Connection refused
* Failed connect to sub.domain.domain.domain:7001; Connection refused
* Closing connection 0
curl: (7) Failed connect to sub.domain.domain.domain:7001; Connection refused

or if i use http for the endpoint, which I would prefer to:

server:~# curl -v -X POST -H "customerHttpHeader: someHeaderValue" -d "someDataPosted" http://sub.domain.domain.domain:7001/contentListener
* About to connect() to sub.domain.domain.domain port 7001 (#0)
*   Trying 51.11.111.82...
* Connection refused
* Failed connect to sub.domain.domain.domain:7001; Connection refused
* Closing connection 0
curl: (7) Failed connect to sub.domain.domain.domain:7001; Connection refused

The logs are empty in NiFi when the post is sent.

Could this be caused by the self signed SSL Cert I am using?

Or what are the other possible issues?

Here is the Post and response when sent from the same machine as the Nifi

[nifi@window logs]$  curl -v -X POST -H "customerHttpHeader: someHeaderValue" -d "someDataPosted" http://sub.domain.domain.domain:7001/contentListener
* About to connect() to sub.domain.domain.domain port 7001 (#0)
*   Trying 51.11.111.82...
* Connected to sub.domain.domain.domain (51.11.111.82) port 7001 (#0)

Any thoughts or pointers gratefully received
