Could not configure server because SASL configuration did not allow the ZooKeeper server to auth it

New Contributor

Hi ,

As part of security we are initially looking to implement level 1 security. After enabling kerberos we get following exception
"java.io.IOException: Could not configure server because SASL configuration did not allow the ZooKeeper server to authenticate itself properly: javax.security.auth.login.LoginException: Connection refused"

We have followed all the steps
- JCE Policy
- Keystore / Truststore
- Enable the flag for TLS at agent/server
- JAAS COnfiig is in place
- keytabs are in place and we are able to kinit from each node
- Hosts entries also seem to be fine
- Enc types we use are AES256 on server and client

Cheers

Mahesh
