Datanode error with a disk failure

Datanode error with a disk failure

Hi all,

Currently, one of our datanodes got a disk failure. That datanode has two disks, including one boot disk and an extended disk. Unfortunately, the boot disk cannot be found due to some physical damage. In this case, the node lost the connection with Namenode.

Could I just follow the guide of "Replacing a Disk on a DataNode Host" to fix the problem? Since I have to apply a new disk and reinstall the OS on that node, the above guide might not be very helpful.

Look forward to any suggestions or solutions.

Truly appreciate your great help.
