Does impala support UPDATE/DELETE for Hbase?

Hi guys,

When i look at Impala Roadmap: 2013, it  shows that it will Improve HBase support: composite keys, complex types in columns, index nested-­‐loop joins, INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE.

May i know the current status?

Hi Zhifeng, 

I apologize for the late response. Impala currently only supports SELECTS and INSERTS in HBase tables. Unfortunately, all the other features you mention are not supported.
