Error CDH 5.3.2 Cloudera Manager based install failure on Impala. Failed to execute command start...

New Contributor

Hello Cloudera community, I am currently installing CDH 5.3.2 on 4 nodes via the Cloudera Manager and everything checked out until I got to Impala ...

The service refuses to start and the only errors I could find are:

Service did not start successfully; not all of the required roles started: Service has only 0 Impala Daemon roles running instead of minimum required 1.

Somehow the configuration thinks no Impala Daemons are defined on any hosts.

You can try:

1. Delete the Impala Service. Add the Impala Service back.

or

2. Add an Impala Daemon by going to the Impala Service -> Instances -> Add Role Instances
