Error while connecting Oozie server, through Knox

when i run an oozie job through apache knox as,

oozie job -oozie https://{gateway-host}:{gateway-port}/{gateway-path}/{cluster-name}/oozie -config job.properties -run

i am getting the error as :

Error: IO_ERROR : java.io.IOException: Error while connecting Oozie server. No of retries = 1. Exception = sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path validation failed: java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: signature check failed

please help

Sounds like the Knox certificate is not a publicly signed one (so you're either using the default or a self signed).

In any case, the same preparation of the oozie client as without Knox should be used:

So it looks like you have to import the certificate of the CA that signed the Knox certificate into the default Java keystore
