Exporting HBase Table data to MYSQL table

I have Time Series Data in an HBase table that I need to provide to a Data Scientist.  Due to security reasons, my best option is to place it in a MYSQL Table that mimics the HBase table.  What are my options to export the HBase data to MYSQL?  I have listed a few:

 

1. Use sqoop to export HBase table to mysql table - I seemore naysayers that ayesayers.

2. Map Hive Table to HBase and map Hive Table to MYSQLTable using sqoop - I see a few ayesayers

3. Map HBase to a HDFS File and Map HDFS File to MYSQL Table using sqoop - I see a few ayesayers

 

Question 1: can anyone tell me if Option #1 is actually possible?

Question 2: is sqoop a point in time copy?  If so, how do I keep the MYSQL Table synchronized with the HBase Table, since HBase is growing.

I would say the best method for now would be
- map the HBase table to a HIVE table
- use Sqoop to export from Hadoop to MySQL

Thanks for the clarification  Gautam!  The phrase best method for now piqued my interest.  Does that mean there may be an option to export from HBase to MySQL in the future?

We are continually trying to improve CDH, so it is possible there will
be a better way in the future. I was just being conservative, that is
all :)
