External Authentication in cloudera manager 5

hi ,

I am trying to  have external authentication configured in cm 5 with active directory but I am not able to login.Can some one tell me where I can see those logs  that the autentication has failed.I am not seeing any as of now.

Hi All,,

I checked for the logs in the  /var/log/cloudera-scm-server but below it what it says.

LDAP/AD authentication failure for nishan.

Can I get more verbose logs some where?.

Have you looked in the Active Directory access logs?  What is it saying on that side?

Hey Clint.

It will take some time before I can get hold off those logs  but I had turned  on debugging of API calls  for manger under Administration>Settings  and then re started the server. i am still not able to see any API calls in the cloudera-scm-server.log.Could  you  please help.

I tried to configure external authentication and facing the following error:

java.lang.RuntimeException: LDAP configuration is incomplete
