Facing issue in installation of HDP sandbox 2.6.1

Hi I have downloaded HDP 2.6.1 sandbox.installing it in vmware workstation .

But it got stuck and not moving ahead after "Started cleanup temp directories"

My system configuration is windows os i3 and 8GB RAM.

When I had started installing in vm ware it was giving Linux installation options.

I am new to this hortonworks tech .can anybody help me to resolve this issue?

How much memory have you allocated the Sandbox?

What is the network config you have chosen.

both VmWare and VirtualBox 13GB RAM and Bridge network

Have you successfully installed sandbox in your laptop with 8 Gb ram in it??

@Nitin Kumar No Nitin,I had to increase the RAM size upto 12 GB.but instead of vmware try with virtualbox.

Because for me with 12GB also I was not able to install sandbox in vmware.but in virtualbox i did it.

Can anyone please confirm,that without virtualization if we can install HDP ?

Some laptops/desktop you might need to enable virtualization Please go through theses steps

Power on the machine and open the BIOS (as per Step 1). Open the Processor submenu The processor settings menu may be hidden in the Chipset, Advanced CPU Configuration or Northbridge. Enable Intel Virtualization Technology (also known as Intel VT) or AMD-V depending on the brand of the processor.
