Hi - i've installed Grafana on HDP 2.4 Sandbox, and started the service on Ambari.

--------------------------------------------

[root@sandbox opentsdb-2.2.1]# ps -ef | grep grafana ams 27134 1 0 19:04 ? 00:00:02 /usr/lib/ambari-metrics-grafana/bin/grafana-server --pidfile=/var/run/ambari-metrics-grafana/grafana-server.pid --config=/etc/ambari-metrics-grafana/conf/ams-grafana.ini cfg:default.paths.data=/var/lib/ambari-metrics-grafana cfg:default.paths.logs=/var/log/ambari-metrics-grafana

---------------------------------------screen-shot-2016-12-20-at-112119-am.png

However, on launching the UI, it is not able to connect (pls see screenshot attached)

Any ideas on how to fix the issue ?

It seems like the Grafana daemon is up. Is your Virtualbox set up to port forward 3000?

If you do "curl http://localhost:3000" from inside the VM's SSH, what do you see?

Hi All, i've upgraded Amabari to 2.2.2.0 (from 2.2.1) & then installed Grafana using the link below ->

@awhitter - i see a post from you on this ->

I'm facing this issue, can you provide inputs on how to fix this.

I've followed this link to upgrade ambari & then install Grafana .. is there anything else that needs to be done ?

Since Grafana was introduced in Ambari 2.2.2, the sandbox from an older version would not have had the port forwarding rule for Grafana UI that listens on port 3000.

@yusaku - yes, you are correct .. port forwarding rule for service Grafana & OpenTSDB was not there.

I added the port in port forwarding & the UI has come up. Thanks for your help in this!
