HA namenode from NFS shared storage to QJM

HA namenode from NFS shared storage to QJM

New Contributor

I am using CDH 4.3.0 HA namenode via NFS (shared storage).  I would like to change the HA configuration to use QJM instead on an active cluster.

What are the steps I should take?

@JChan I'm not sure whether your cluster is managed by Cloudera Manager or not, so I'll post our docs on both Managed and non-managed in case these are helpful in addressing your question:

Cloudera Manager Instructions

Non-CM Cluster

As always, care must be taken when working with an existing cluster and I'm sure someone in this forum may have advice about minor things to take into consideration when moving from NFS to QJM, but I hope the docs are at least a good start.

@clint, Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I've looked through the instructions and couldn't find any instructions on setting up QJM on an existing cluster, only new set up was mentioned.  I am running a Non-CM cluster.
