HBase root directory change

Contributor

we would like to change default hbase root directory from /apps/hbase/data to the encrypted folder /protect/hbase/data.

/protect/hbase/data - hbase is the encrypted folder.

But how can we take care of the existing hbase tables. And also the tables for atlas created during the part of installation.

Hortonworks Documentation says:

Planning a Backup-and-Restore Strategy for Your Environment

There are a few strategies you can use to implement backup-and-restore in your environment. The following sections show how they are implemented and identify potential tradeoffs.

[Note>Note
HBase backup-and restore tools are currently not supported on Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)-enabled HDFS clusters. This is related to the Apache HBASE-16178 known issue.

Any help about how to take care of these existing tables.
