HDF :: Require a way to delay incoming flowfile for specified time interval

HDF :: Require a way to delay incoming flowfile for specified time interval

New Contributor

We require a standard way to delay an incoming flowfile processing for fixed interval. Right now, we are creating a local attribute, which stores the time to expire and we keep checking that variable value with current time to get that achieved. This solution creates bottleneck with large traffic. Please share your thoughts in achieving the same. Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi @Manan Sheth

I see that you tagged this question with "HDF-2.0.0", so I realize this answer may not be of immediate help to you. But there is a Wait processor (https://nifi.apache.org/docs/nifi-docs/components/org.apache.nifi/nifi-standard-nar/1.5.0/org.apache.nifi.processors.standard.Wait/index.html) that was introduced in NiFi 1.2.0 that may solve your issue. I believe HDF 3.0.0 is the first HDF release to have NiFi 1.2.0 processors.
