HDP 2.6 does not list Solr component.

Is Solr removed from HDP install? I see the solr component listed for 2.5.3. So wondering why it has been removed in 2.6

You might need to install "mpack":

Does this mean that if I upgrade from 2.5.3 to 2.6.2, I will lose my existing Solr install?

Hi Sarnath:

For HDP 2.6.2, the Solr component is now called "HDP Search".

Here is the installation documentation for "HDP Search":

Solr is still part of HDP in version 2.6.2 -- Hortonworks calls it HDP Search.
