HDP Installation using localrepo - Could not load the hdp_urlinfo.json pointing to a public domain

New Contributor

I get the following error during after starting ambari server

Error 1: RepoUrlInfoCallable:107 could not load the URI from http://public-repo.1.hortonworks.com/HDP/hdp_urlinfo.json , stack defaults will be use

Info:

  • RHEL 7.2 (Maipo)
  • Hortonworks Hadoop 3.1
  • Ambari 2.7.3.
  • HDP 3.1.0
  • Installation using Local Repository ( no internet )
  • Note: We are using JRE and not JDK as $JAVA_HOME

After ambari install and start - we see the following errors

Error 1: RepoUrlInfoCallable:107 could not load the URI from http://public-repo.1.hortonworks.com/HDP/hdp_urlinfo.json , stack defaults will be use

Note: Not sure why this is being called - ambari.repo does not have this reference

Error 2: ( Info and warning)

INFO : PasswordUtils:175 - Credential Provider creation failed

org.apache.ambari.server.AmbariException: Master key initlialization failed

WARN: Errors:173 The following warning have been detected with resource an/or provider classes

WARNING: A HTTP GET method ViewInstance Service

Can we ignore and proceed ahead?

During the 1st attempt when we proceeded - the primary namenode and secondary namenode could not be started. Where do we see these logs?
