We are planning to move away from cloudera to HDP abd we are trying to find a suitable naming convention for the servers:
application server: the mysql server that will host all hive and oozie with the mysql database: we used ahc for application hadoop cloudera's
Cleint server: having the Spark,HDFS and Yarn Gateway, we used chc for client hadoop cloudera's
DataNode: dhc datanode hadoop cloudera's
mhc: Yarn and NN for management hadoop cloudera's
cmc: cloudera manager management cloudera's
Can anyone suggest the alternative naming to be used in hortonworks.
In cloudera manager, the single user mode was use cloudera-scm user, what is the parallel one for this in Horton works? Ambari user?
Hi @Fawze AbuJaber
There is no strict requirement for naming convention for the servers.
You can keep the hostname as per your convenience.
Ambari by default do not provide single user mode like cloudera-scm user, you have to manually configure the user as per documents below.
Hi Rahul , Can you or any one reply to my question ?
