HDP upgrade from 2.4.0 to 2.5.0. Using ambari Hive service check fails

Expert Contributor

Hello community,

I'm running an upgrade with ambari 2.4 from hdp 2.4.0 to 2.5.0.

The cluster is not kerberized.

I'm having the following error on hive service check, looks like cant use hcat user to connect to the service. Any clue about how to solve this? or I just must ignore it and go ahead with the upgrade?

Thank you in advance

@Juan Manuel Nieto Can you please make sure you have below property set to "*" in HDFS configs -

hadoop.proxyuser.hcat.hosts =*

hadoop.proxyuser.hcat.groups =*

PLs do refer link - http://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/Ambari-2.2.0.0/bk_ambari_views_guide/content/_setup_HDFS_pr...
