@subhash parise

The issue seems to be with Kerberos, Have you created the principal and keytab?

If not please follow as soon in link

Hi @Kuldeep Kulkarni ,

Kerberos is not enabled in my cluster. is it mandatory to enable kerberos to work with Hive Views ??

Super Guru

@subhash parise - Are you sure about this? I could see errors related to Kerberos

Super Collaborator

Pleaase find the image below.

Hi @subhash parise,

Have you solved the issue? We have the same errors using PAM authentication on hive.

Hive Authentication view parameter: auth=PAM;user=${username};password=${password}

It seems that Ambari is not resolving well the variables because if I force it the hive view starts running.

For example:

Hive Authentication view parameter: auth=PAM;user=pepito;password=contraseña

Our Cluster:

Ambari: 2.2.1

HDP: 2.4.2

@subhash parise

I agree with @Kuldeep Kulkarni, ambari-server setup-security step is missing which leads to this error.

Explorer

It looks like you followed the kerberos instructions to install the Hive view ..do recheck once ..on view you no need to give any security related settings ..if your cluster is not enabled for kerberoes ..

In Ambari Web when trying to access the hive view it's giving below error:
