HPD 3.0.1 docker does not start

New Contributor

I try to start the 3.0.1 HDP docker version and I get the following error:

+ docker exec -t sandbox-hdp sh -c 'rm -rf /var/run/postgresql/*; systemctl restart postgresql-9.6.service;'
Error response from daemon: No such container: sandbox-hdp

According to installation documentation, two containers should be created: sandbox-proxy and sandbox-hpd, but it seems that only sandbox-proxy is created and something is not working for sandbox-hdp.

Does anyone has a hint or a solution on this error?

I'm using Docker 1.13.1 on RedHat 7.x

Thanks,

Bogdan

@Bogdan Ionita Please help us help you and post a cut-and-paste of the filename for the .zip file you downloaded here. The problem may well be the version of the HDP sandbox you installed on docker on RedHat.

@Bill Brooks

The zip file name is HDP_3.0.1_docker-deploy-scripts_18120587fc7fb.zip

MD5 for the downloaded file is fd1a56c3260291818b6eacbc598dfe72 which matches the MD5 on download site.

The zip extracts to:

assets docker-deploy-hdp30.sh sandbox sandbox-flavor
