Hadoop Migration from Hortonworks HDP3 to Apache hadoop 3.3.2

Is there any other way to migrate the Hortonworks HDP3  cluster to the Apache Hadoop 3.3.2  other than the distcp?

is it possible to upgrade by updating the jar and pointing the older metadata to the newer stack of Hadoop?

@KPG1 We only support upgrading an existing cluster using Ambari or Cloudera Manager, instead of importing/updating the jars manually. In latest CDP Private cloud base, and our Public Cloud,  we are using Hadoop version 3.1.1 at this point.
