Higher CPU usage in the Management Services in CDH5.5.0

Explorer

Hi,

We upgraded to CDH 5.5.0. We've found that the management services have significantly higher CPU usage - as viewable on the Manager interface, after Dec 1st:

Restarting the services doesnt seem to have had an impact.  One of the firehost processes had many threads in the following state:

Thread 72282: (state = BLOCKED)

 - java.lang.Object.wait(long) @bci=0 (Interpreted frame)

 - com.cloudera.cmon.firehose.polling.yarn.RunningApplicationsQueue.doWait(long) @bci=15, line=319 (Compiled frame)

 - com.cloudera.cmon.firehose.polling.yarn.RunningApplicationsQueue.getRunningApplicationToPoll(long) @bci=140, line=232 (Compiled frame)

 - com.cloudera.cmon.firehose.polling.yarn.MapReduceRunningApplicationInfoFetcher.pollOneApp(com.cloudera.cmf.descriptors.ReadOnlyScmDescriptorPlus) @bci=16, line=127 (Interpreted frame)

 - com.cloudera.cmon.firehose.polling.yarn.MapReduceRunningApplicationInfoFetcher.doWork(com.cloudera.cmon.firehose.polling.FirehoseClientConfiguration, boolean) @bci=61, line=105 (Compiled frame)

 - com.cloudera.cmon.firehose.polling.yarn.MapReduceRunningApplicationInfoFetcher.doWork(com.cloudera.cmon.firehose.polling.FirehoseClientConfiguration, boolean) @bci=3, line=35 (Interpreted frame)

 - com.cloudera.cmon.firehose.polling.CdhTask$InstrumentedWork.doWork() @bci=21, line=229 (Interpreted frame)

 - com.cloudera.cmf.cdhclient.CdhExecutor$SecurityWrapper$1.run() @bci=7, line=190 (Interpreted frame)

Any hints?

Craig
