Hive View 2.0 AuthorizationException

Explorer

Hi all,

We're having issues launching queries from the Hive View 2.0, with a simple show tables query we're getting the following exception:

Caused by: org.apache.hadoop.ipc.RemoteException(org.apache.hadoop.security.authorize.AuthorizationException): Unauthorized connection for super-user: hortonworks from IP xx.xxx.xx.xxx
 at org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.web.JsonUtil.toRemoteException(JsonUtil.java:119)
 at org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.web.WebHdfsFileSystem.validateResponse(WebHdfsFileSystem.java:492)

We've been reading quite a lot and find out that some people have experimented the same issue. They have solved it by changing the hdfs.proxy settings, we've tried that and no luck for us, see attached our current values (hdfsprops)

It's important to notice that we've also have Ranger up & running and both the hive and hdfs plugins are enabled. We've granted permissions in Ranger for all the users (admin, hortonworks...)

Permissions in HDFS within the folder where hive is trying to write seem also to be ok.

Any ideas??
