http 503 code means service unavailable please check if Hive is up, run service checks on evéy service to confirm. What is the Hive host?

503 - The Web server (running the Web site) is currently unable to handle the HTTP request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. The implication is that this is a temporary condition which will be alleviated after some delay. Some servers in this state may also simply refuse the socket connection, in which case a different error may be generated because the socket creation timed out.

1) Restart ambari-server

2) Restart Hive from ambari

@kang hua

Delete the view instance and create a new hive view instance

You are hitting this https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-12732

Is it possible for you to upgrade to ambari 2.2?

12732 is 403, I had met with this bug ,and grant user readonly role , pass it .

my issue is error is 503 ,not same problem !

I try —— curl -u pushuser1:301415926 -k http://basic.internal.hadoop.10-148-10-2.scloud.letv.com:8080/api/v1/clusters/SCLOUD_MASTER —— can get right result !

why from ambari ui , it give 503 error .

btw: access yarn queue manager form ambari ui , also give error

HI !

I get it !!!

because I set proxy in ambari-server jvm-args :export AMBARI_JVM_ARGS=$AMBARI_JVM_ARGS' -Xmx4096m -XX:PermSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=128m -Dhttp.proxyHost=10.180.86.30 -Dhttp.proxyPort=3128 -Djava.security.auth.login.config=/etc/ambari-server/conf/krb5JAASLogin.conf -Djava.security.krb5.conf=/etc/krb5.conf -Djavax.security.auth.useSubjectCredsOnly=false'

in /var/lib/ambari-server/ambari-env.sh .

ambari 2.1.1 proxy set works for view , however 2.1.2 or 2.2 proxy set must remove from ambari_jvm_args
