I'm using Hortonworks Hive ODBC Driver to connect (with Kerberos mechanism) Hive data source from our Oracle reporting infrastructure. Connect works fine but, when I'm trying to save the data into my local machine getting following error. So, I'd like to understand the limitations on drivers for connecting from 3rd party applications like Oracle, Microsoft etc. or redirect me to appropriate link where I can read more on Hortonworks Hive ODBC Drivers
State: HY000. Code: 16001. [nQSError: 16001] ODBC error state: S1000 code: 35 message: [Hortonworks][Hardy] (35) Error from server: error code: '1' error message: 'Error while processing statement: FAILED: Execution Error, return code 1 from org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.exec.tez.TezTask'..
Here is the HWX ODBC user guide (not sure if you have seen this): https://2xbbhjxc6wk3v21p62t8n4d4-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Hortonworks-Hive...
Note that from the error it looks like an issue with your query or the job running the query. To troubleshoot this find information around the job in Ambari > Tez View > query ID link.
You can also look in HiveServer2 log, usually at /var/log/Hadoop/hive/hiveserver2.log but also available from the UI.
How did you manage to integrate driver with OBIEE? I'm unable to connect, can you suggest me an approach how did you do that? Would be helpful :)
