Hortonworks Hive ODBC Driver DSN setup

Hi

While doing DSN setup I am getting below error. Please suggest.

FAILED! [Hortonworks][Hardy] (34) Error from server: connect() failed: errno = 10060.

This can be occur due to many issues like incorrect port or firewall, may be hive service is not up and running or table permission see this post https://community.hortonworks.com/questions/10192/facing-issue-with-odbc-connection.html

Can you share a screenshot of what your DSN setup looks like? Or maybe post a bit more details?

Alternatively, do you have any other ODBC connections, or is this the first one you have tried?

If you are on a Mac with "El Capitan" (10.11) and run into this, you are likely dealing with a platform specific issue.

The driver and installation does work with 10.10 along with Office 365 (2016)

I tried with user name hive and hue but same error.

I don't believe the password for hive is "hue"

Did you try maria_dev/maria_dev for name and password?

yes. I used hue since it is mentioned in below instruction link

Is there any way to check detailed log which can give me more information about the error ?
