If you are managing your HDP via Ambari then ambari stores most of the configurations inside the ambari database and it also manages the version information of various config changes.

https://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/Ambari-2.6.0.0/bk_ambari-administration/content/back_up_cu...

# ambari-server backup

.

You can also export a blueprint of your HDP cluster via Ambari. to quickly create another cluster with almost identical configurations:

https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/AMBARI/Blueprints

.

Can you please suggest me how to take a ambari db incremental backup regularly?

@Ramchandra Reddy

You can take full Ambari DB backup once/twice in a day as it's in reasonable size. you also can delete old DB backups if you have storage limitations.

For Incremental back you will need to be dependent on some DB utilities or External utilities. From ambari Side there is no in built option.
